Full Moon run 9th Feb

8 Cosmics assembled at Hazlehead for the relocated (sadly getting too and from Kerloch might have been a bit hairy) full moon run on Monday night.  Fiona and Jenny decided to ski, the other 6 (Richard, Colin, Pauline, Lois, Gillian and Anita) set off on foot, expecting them to glide past any minute, but they never did.  We followed Richard, who was determined to forge a path through from Hazlehead to Countesswells.  The terrain varied between icy paths and deep snow to deep snow with deep mud underneath!  After a loop round Countesswells taking in part of the Krunce route, we headed back, this time across the fields rather than the overgrown path through the wood, the moon came out from behind the clouds to show us our white white world and it was magical!

Cosmics on TV

Those Cosmics who ran at Glamaig last June are to have their fifteen minutes (seconds?) of fame!

The race will be featured in one of the episodes of a show called Beachcomber Cottage, which be shown on BBC2. The show is about a southern chap who comes up to the west coast to live in a bothy with pigs and chickens for company. Said chap came over to Skye to run in the race and brought his film crew with him.

The series begins on Tuesday 3rd March at 8pm on BBC2.

Update: Via Fiona's contact at the production company - Glamaig is believed to be in the third episode, due to be aired 17th March.
